Coin drought ends with Big Silver

Some ok relics recently, but I've been on a serious coin drought for weeks. I finally broke through this weekend with my second Walker. I scratched it....oh well. It came out of a dry sandy field but was almost jet black with tarnish so I decided to take some baking soda too it to pretty it up a bit.

Nice big silver. The field must have been a spot where people congregated for some reason. Looks like a small lock in pic 5 above the Victorian piece. Is the Victorian piece jewelry? Pic #4 looks like a lantern part, but I haven't found any with that 'crown' style.

I really like that bottle...I can't read the printing on my phone...did you research the company? Nice finds!

Yeah, it's pretty cool. Dr. Peter Farhrney & Sons, Chicago. Late 1800's. Here are a link with better pictures and info:

This 9" tall bottle contained Forni's Alpenkrauter Blutbeleber, which is roughly translated into "Mountain Flower Blood Vitalizer". Dr. Peter Fahrney began production of this in 1869 and moved his business to an elaborate factory in Chicago in the 1890's. He and his sons produced this Blutbeleber based on an early family recipe, as well as other patent medicines.

great spot your detecting if those coins and relics are showing up.:cheering:big congrats on the walking liberty :smitten: and the bottle might be highly collectable by a local or Chicago bottle enthusiast .

Great finds. I like the relics. I don't find a ton but lately I have been digging a lot more off signals. Amazing what turns up on those 12-22-26's. Nice finds WD
