Got out this weekend and hunted four schools . Yesterday I found a nice silver ring with a scroll design in a band . It was about three inches deep and was a +83 VDI on my MXT PRO . Also found a large Mexican coin and a tiny half penny from England . Total clad for that hunt was $9.52 .
Today I drove about 45 minutes and meet my buddy Kevin at a school we had never hunted before http://tnet.forumfoundry.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif . Clad was everywhere but no silver or gold http://tnet.forumfoundry.com/forums/images/smilies/BangHead.gif . We moved on after about 2 hours to a small school / park that dates from the early 1950's . My third target was a sweet +82 at 2 inches , silver ring ! After that I found two wheats , 1929 and 1957 D . Other good finds were a cool old button with a maple leaf on it , Canadian ? Also found a 2 Franc coin , 1991 . Total clad for today's hunt was $14.58 !

That thing with the maple leaf; what's on the back? Are you sure it's a button? It looks to me like a handsaw handle medallion. Similar to the Shurley Dietrich-Atkins logo medallion

It had a back when I first dug it but fell apart shortly after . It did have a button back .

OK. Rules out a saw medallion then. Nice find either way! Nice rings too.
