I stopped over to visit my son before work today. He lives in a 3 family house in the historic district in the south end of Hartford. His back yard is mostly parking lot but it has a patch of lawn no bigger than 30' x 15'. I found this less than 2' deep. Also found 5 pennies (no wheats, surprisingly) but 2 were Canadian cents.4897748978

And it's a 105-year-old silver too! :thumbsup02:
It just goes to show you, you never know what may be in the ground, even in a tiny patch of grass.
:congrats:

That's a nice dime. Cool that you found it in such a small search area.

Sweet find Mike. I'm sure you meant 2", not 2'. Lol. This is why it may actually pay to check curbsides (which I have not done) thinking about small grass areas. I got the old map from 1600's Hartford. Too bad it doesn't quite look the same.. and you would be lucky to find 1 blade of grass in the area depicted. Congrats.
