... and even some modern silver too! :thumbsup02:
Got off pretty early today and did some driving around in an old neighborhood looking for a old house to hit. I spotted a couple of ladies outside chit-chatting. So I pulled over and found out that they were neighbors. One ladies house was built in 1890 and her neighbors (right next door) was built in 1884. I got the green light to hit both yards. The first house I could tell something was wrong right away when I got a memorial at 6 inches. So I made my way over to the next yard and the lady came out and asked if I'd found anything. I explained what I'd found and why it was odd. She then told me they had sod put in about 5 years ago. :bummer: So I started in the parkway of her house and got a strong signal deep! Turned out to be a soda can over a foot deep. :bangshead01: She said they redid the streets and gutters at one time. (That explains that) But I did find a hefty, modern 925 silver earring right on the surface. It weighs 5.1 grams! So I asked if I could go into her yard. She said go ahead. So I did. My second signal was a really cool pair of vintage sterling cuff links!! First one of those! :thumbsup01: (Silver ones anyways) They weigh 5.4 grams!! They say KALO STERLING. I also found a small piece of a silver "something" I know it's silver I just don't know what it's from. I was digging similar signals hoping to find other pieces to it but no such luck. Oh plus 4 wheaties and some clad.

Here's the keepers fresh from the ground:

Way to sniff out some unusual pieces of silver, Tim! I really like the sterling cufflink a lot! It has an art deco look to it, I bet it's from the 1930s. Very cool!

:congrats:

Good finds Tim. I have not found any silver cuff links yet but its on my (very long) bucket list. I agree with Tony, definitely an art deco look. HH, Dave.

Nice hunting Tim. Love those cufflinks and is that unidentified piece of silver hollow, but flattened?

It's hollow. But it's smushed a little. I just wonder whats it's from? I'm thinking a handle to something.... but from what?
