Hello all, I was finally able to go out last Sunday and a friend of mine was kind enough to pick me up and get me to a park we like. I won't say his name, he'll recognize himself and my topic already tells enough. (And no... I didn't find any SEATED DIME !!!!!!) Did I say "a friend"? Well... that was before he pulled 3 IH in the same hole and a seated dime !! What sort of friend would do that to you???

Anyway, I ended up with 5 IH (1876, 1892, 1899, 1905 and 1908... no "S"...) which I consider a great day ! Also got 3 Buffalos and a strange little buckle. I am no expert in buckle but I really like this one. It seems old to me. Any info is more than welcome !!

Happy Hunting to all !

Any dates on the buffs? The injuns are in nice shape. And yes the buckle looks old to me as well.

Like someone who pulled a barber half out of an area I already covered, haphazardly apparently. Jk Kev.

Nice hunt!! Those IHPs are in good shape. Odd looking buckle. Looks more like a link in a chain ??

Couldn't make out any dates on the buffs so far. Really can't get much out of them... :(

I would take a hunt like that any day! :thumbsup02:

Lots of nice coins, including an older 1876 Indian Head. Next time the seated dime will be yours. :thumbsup01:

:congrats:

Thanks guys ! I do like Indians ! I also just noticed how the date numbers are arranged on the 1876 compared to the other ones. They are on a straight line, and on the other ones, numbers follow a curve. Well... I just noticed it but I am sure you all already knew about this !

Yep, and the date is smaller on the older Indian Heads too. Whenever I see those smaller digits I get excited because I know it's an older one.

Those are nice Indians, especially the 1876. Although the buffalos don't have dates, at least you found some meat for the Indians to eat.

That's a great hunt. You guys must into some old dirt as that is a bunch of pre 1900 coins. Great hunt. WD
