Finally got out for a hunt this morning after working the last 7 days . I decided to hunt a school / park that has given up gold and silver over the years . I was hunting close to the black top when I got a +68 , +72 . When I dug down I saw a penny but in the bottom of the plug was GOLD ! This is the first ever gold neck less I have dug up in almost 18 years of hunting http://tnet.forumfoundry.com/forums/images/smilies/hello2.gif . As it turned out the penny was lower on the VDI number due to the gold being in the same hole . The gold neck less it's self came up as a +2 . It's a 14K gold rope chain type that weighs 4.84 grams , not bad http://tnet.forumfoundry.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif . When I got up to move on from that hole I got another +2 at the same depth , 3 inches . It was the end part of the gold neck less http://tnet.forumfoundry.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif . It was broken into 6 pieces . The other finds were two junk rings #5 and #6 . Total clad for two hours was $10.34 .

Congrats on the necklace. I can always find the charm or pendant but I've yet to get the necklace.

That was a lucky find, Glen! What a beautiful gold chain! Do you think you would have found if the penny hadn't been with it?

Congrats on the GOLD! :loveit:
