Today Jim picked me up to hunt a cellar hole with Sam i researched. Me and Jim arrived at 8 and hiked a mile in the woods and finally found the cellar . We were pumped. We hiked back to the car then got Sam and went directly there. We started off finding ... not much. My first target was a very cool knife. Then a nice early pewter button... maybe 1700s? (I hair sprayed it Dave :poke:) There's a seam going all the way through on the back. Next target I got was a flat button, then another nearby. All the signals were super iffy. sam got a small pewter just like mine as his first target and jim got a nice shoe buckle Tounge or chape frag. After getting next to nothing for the next hour we decided to walk to an area we saw last minute... it didn't look like much but we were desperate for something to pop up. We walked another half mile and found two sites next to each other. These were hit super hard too. Lots of trash at this site. jim got a nice two piece button so we knew we were on to something. After a while with barely any keeper inds we were about to give up again and Jim gets a large coat button . Then not 5 minutes later I get a faint signal and I get a shoe buckle frame fragment. I also found a knife and pistol ball here. Sam got a spoon not far from my pistol ball. As we slowly headed back to the farm site jim gets a very nice Matron head large cent dated 1824 or 34. Finally got a coin from here, so glad you dug it jim! We headed back to the farm house and realized I LOST My Lesche!!!! :shocked04: I looked everywhere for it but alas. It was gone. Oh well. While I went looking for my Lesche in th rain like an idiot jim finds another flat button - this one is silver plated. My right elbow pit is SOREEEEEE from holding and swinging the detector for 6 hours and walking 10 miles . Literally 10 miles.......... honestly even though I'm complaining I had a blas with Jim and Sam. Really had a great time :) Hope we get together again guys at some more productive sites. HH EVERYONE HOPE YOU HAVE A SAFE AND WONERFUL HOLIDAY!!!!!! :thumbsup02:

If you did... well... you missed a few ;) :poke: There's a couple more sites out in the area I'll have to check as well. We actually saw another detectorist hunting nearby too... in an area where there wasn't even a cellar??? :lolsign: was funny.
