I was free. Domestic duties done. With no hesitation or interpretation I was out the door. Hit a local area where I know they have summer fairs with the usual rides and games of chance.
Out came the Freedom 3 Plus making music to my ears.....the 3 bell tones when you turn it on indicating that the batteries are juiced! Nothing special for the first part of the dig which yielded a variety of new to me coins. Then deeper in the area dug a few foreign coins from Poland,Spain and Finland. Modern and no surprise as I have dug these there before. Think they give them out as prizes at one of the concessions.
Mind you later on while trying to identify these smaller coins under my lighted mag lamp I dropped a coin in my tea....darn good cup of Rosy Lea gone to waste! Hell in a hand basket.
Anyway back to the dig. After the foreign coins dug a copper ring with the inscription "Mon coeur est a toi pour toujours ." Think it's French but then again I have been known to be wrong more times than enough.
My knee was telling me it was time to go as I dodged more green goose grease. Counted...short a few. Swung a bit more.....dug a few more.....thank heavens..... I could go home! On the way I stopped at the library and picked up another book by Brad Thor(great writer) and the dvd Hunger Games. Noted that T.K.Bernard Funeral home had gone under (pun intended) and that the lot was stripped clean. Think I'll pass on that vacant lot!
