Digger Don

I met up with Zrickkid about noon today in a town neither of us has hunted before. We started out at the local park and soon realized we were wasting our time. No good signals. We got permission to hunt an old house on the main drag. Again, not much happening. I dug a beat up token and 1 wheat. We decided to try one more house before calling it a day.
We found a house from around 1900, got permission and began swinging. After about 15 minutes I dug 1943-P War Nickel.
Ok, things are looking up. A few minutes later I got a beat up Rosie, then a 1915 Buffalo. I started swinging along the sidewalk and dug a Merc and 3 wheats. Persistence paid off.

I knew you had at least one more hunt before the weather turns and hoping for some more hunts for you and Alex. Your persistence did pay off, some nice silvers added to your yearly count and another buffalo. :congrats:on the keepers and keep on digging.

The buffalo nickel looks like it is made of chocolate! Congrats on getting a few more keepers before winter finally sets in.

Just a little vegetable oil to bring out the detail.

Had a good time Don. I stopped at a spot i've hit before on the way home and nailed a 46 Roosevelt dime to save the day.
