It was really hot and humid yesterday. Wasn't planning to go out, but I spoke with Angel and he got the adreniline going. I waited til 6:30 PM and went to a park shaded by trees, hunted til 8 PM. Still sweating though. The V3i update still amazes me. Dug about a buck in clad, a spoon handle, pull tabs, misc trash and 2 Indian Heads- each about 6 to 7 inches deep and the 1875 Seated Dime about 7 to 8 inches deep. The Seated locked in at 55 to 78 VDI depending on the swing direction. All around it was iron, so I had a little trouble pinpointing where to dig. But, once I started the hole, the DX1 zeroed in on it.

Wow, nice hunt. You guys seem to pull those seateds like they were clad thumbsup01
What do you like about the V3i update? Do you think the machine runs better, has better separation, etc.?

Sick coins, My main goal this year is to find my first IHC, and it better be an 1800s one at that.

Wow! That seated dime is a beauty! I suspect it looks even better than it does in the photo. Those Indian Head cents are quite nice too. I'm glad that you decided to go out. It definitely was hot yesterday, but detecting under the shade of the trees did help.

It seems like some people had that same idea a hundred years ago lol Nice score on the Seated and that 1883 Indian looks like a new drop too. Nice hunt Midas!
