We she keeps on giving. Coughed up another copper, Tombac button, drawer pull & the suspender clip. Almost ready to give this spot a 2x a year hunt (Early Spring & Fall). Finds are tougher & tougher to get.
Hit 2 other sites along the way & nabbed this very small pewter button which looks like a half of a musket ball. Any ideas on the age of this? Also I think this other item is a nipple button. If it is how old is this?
Also got this nicely decorated floral button.
HH,
Roger

How long was your hunt Roger? Seems like it is still a productive site, unless you hunted for 36 hrs  Congrats!

good pictures Roger , is the shank cast as part of the whole button or is it a separate "wire" type loop that looks placed into the back or soldered onto it??

At soccer practice now but I'm pretty sure its a separate wire. I'll take a look when I get home.

It was about 7 hrs but I only pulled 4 items from there in about 4 hrs I'm pretty spoiled as I'm used to pulling more

Ok so I just got home from what I can see there is nothing that looks like the shank was inserted. Looks to be part of the button.I can see some greenish tint in the shank but it looks like it was then dipped in pewter as some of it has flaked away to expose the wire.
