Hit a different area of an old spot and came up with a very worn 1897 Barber quarter. Within 150 yards to the right of this spot I've probably dug 30 pieces of silver including seated, Barber, mercs and even a half real. This last area didn't seem like it would be any good and I only dug one coin there, but at least it was a Barber quarter. Hit another spot with a detector buddy from my club. It's an old park that's been pounded over the years. Hit the woods and although I didn't come up with much, again at least it was a Barber, 1912-D dime this time.

Two nice finds! :thumbsup02:
That Barber Quarter has seen a lot of action. Gives it a lot of character and history, I say. Barber Quarters are a rare treat, and I would be thrilled to find that one.
