Went for a cellar hole hunt with Mangoave (Jim) last Saturday. The day was awesome up in Jim's neck of the woods in Northern Ct. We hunted a cellar hole he researched and found these goodies. The first 2 pics are a half dollar sized flat button, the heart-shaped thing has what I think says "I love you" in multiple languages etched on the side pictured that we found at a school and the last photo is a 1815 artillery button with an eagle on a cannon. Also found a 1929 wheat and some clad. Thanks for inviting me up,Jim. 41431414324143341429

Yeah, I agree with Todd, the military button is awesome. That tombac(?) is super large! Nice all around hunt.

great looking tombac , if only our copper coins could hold up as well as these type of buttons :daydream: the early artillery button is "da bomb" :perfect10:

It was good to get out Mike. I pointed you to where the buttons were. Too bad I can't point myself in the right location. The love token is definitely different. I wonder how long that school has been closed for. And Drew/Dan, not sure if it was a tombac. Maybe you seen enough to know. The scratches on the front might indicate there was no covering like a felt button or even paint. But the shank seems to look newer. Idk..
