Hello Historicgal here looking for anything relic and unusual. Just got into metal detecting recently and have alot of fun.

Thanks to all, and I do hope to find one of those rare coins one day. I am very much a history person. I gather I get it from my father who was a teacher. Only have found a few coins wheaties.

There are a lot of people here who can help you get the most from your machine. Just read up on some of the old posts. By the way, what type of machine are you swinging??

Most of the dates are from 1920's to 1950's. I live in an old house and the backyard seem to be full of them.
I'll be sure to put up some photos when I start to find stuff.

Surely there's some silver then- I kept finding 40' & 50's wheats in my mom's yard (built in 1950) and then finally found a silver dime! I keep going back with each upgrade of my detector.
