Last Friday evening (25th) I got permission to hunt a old yard, I found a no buff ,a 1942 merc, 6 wheatie,s ,and some clad, this evening I went back to hunt some more and my 1st signal was a 1952 Washington! then I found a few clad, then I got a 12-47 at 7"
I dug down and out came a SL quarter!(no date) still had signals and ended up with 4 old wheatie,s and a 1902 indian.
Thanks for looking. HH

Congrats on the finds. The SLQ seems to have a good amount of detail still left, just no date.

Congrats on the nice variety of old coins. Also like the token. Appears to have enough writing on it to identify.

Nice finds. Although you didn't have a picture of the reverse of the standing liberty quarter, it looks like a Type 1 from 1916-1917. Are there stars below the eagle on the reverse? If not, it's a type 1. If so, it's probably pre 1925 when they recessed the date. It looks like this is a spot you might want to go back to : )

Don, On a type 1 Liberty's hair is flowing, type 2(what I found) her hair is kind of rolled in a bun. Also there are stars under the eagle. HH
I'm still going back.

Now that's the kind of coin spill that dreams are made of! :smitten:

SLQ is one of my favorite coins, it's always a thrill when one comes out of the soil. It's fascinating to see that Indian Heads were once circulating with Lincoln cents.

Congrats on the terrific finds! :clapping:
