Got out and hunted two school this morning with my buddy Kevin . The first school was a bust so we moved on to the backup plan http://tnet.forumfoundry.com/forums/images/smilies/laughing7.gif . I have hunted this school off and on over 4 years and I have never found silver or gold but it always has a ton of clad . Sure enough as soon as we started up our machines the quarter were popping http://tnet.forumfoundry.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif . After about 3 hours of just digging clad I was ready to call it a day . I made one last pass in the back corner of the ball field when I got a mixed up signal of +74 , +75 , +81 and +83 . It was at 4 inches and sounded a bit large but I dug it any way . I'm glad I did ! 5 sterling pieces in one hole http://tnet.forumfoundry.com/forums/images/smilies/headbang.gif . It was two silver chains with two silver rings and one silver pendent ! It also had a junk plated chain and a junk pendent . It was in one big ball of goodness http://tnet.forumfoundry.com/forums/images/smilies/laughing7.gif . The school final gave up it's treasure ! Total clad was crazy , $14.23 !!!!
Back to work on Monday http://tnet.forumfoundry.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

Great finds Glen. All that bling in one hole. :thinkingabout:Makes me think it was put there or hidden there at some point purposely. Very cool you found it all at once. Makes up for all those "clad only" days at that site huh?

Nice picture of it in the dirt :loveit: The moral of the story is never put all of your valuables on your chain  Unless you want to make some metal detectorist of the future very happy :thumbsup01: Nice call on digging that bouncy signal.

That is strange about having all the chains there. Maybe the school bully hid them there so the teachers couldn't give him detention based upon lack of evidence. And he forgot where he buried them. Nice finds tho.

Nice call on digging that bouncy signal.

A while ago I had tried to see what my machine would do with a necklace. Each individual link in the chains are seen as individual targets. It barely sees a gold chain and is tough to get a silver chain. You never know if you get a link or clasp or pendant. That logic you would dig everything :shocked01: Maybe in regards to a different thread about machines themselves, having multiple frequencies would be good for school yards, beaches, parks, ect when you expect to find necklaces.
