Tuesday after work I went out solo for about an hour and a half. Got permission to hunt a house that was built in 1867.
Not even 2 feet into the yard I pull out a 1924 merc, two feet farther, a couple of wheats. Three feet more a 1902 barber Dime.
I started thinking that I found a silver mine. I couldn't wait for the next and the next after that. Well, you guessed it, that was it for the Silver. A few more wheats and a couple of bucks in clad was all I got the rest of the hunt.
Wednesday after work, Digger Al and I went to another house across the street from the Mondays house. Alec dug a few wheats and I dug a 1961 Washington quarter and a couple of wheats. we both got the usual amount of clad and junk.
Thursday We went to the same area again and got permission at 1907 house. All I got today was a couple of wheats and clad. Alec on the other hand did great. He started out slow, but then he got his first silver today. A 1942 Merc. We were getting ready to call it a day when he got a screamer at 6" . He dug his first Walking Liberty Half.
NOW FOR THE WEEKEND

lots of great coins but the walker is in very good condition! They are usually more worn. It must have been an early drop. Is that a scratch on the back? HH, Dave.

This is DiggerAl typing right now.Unfortunately yes. The first thing I noticed about it is that I put a scratch on the back lol. It looks worse in the picture.

Thanks. I'm still waiting to see also, we seem to hit a dry spell after that Walker. No complaints here, we had an unusually great start to the month.

What a great bunch of silver coins! :smitten:

Huge congrats to Alec on his Walking Liberty Half! There's nothing like the sight of big silver in the dirt! I hope Alec gets to experience that feeling many more times.
