This morning my brother called me and asked if I wanted to go to a spot where he found a barber quarter and SLQ yesterday and I said you bet I want to go, we both found a barber quarter this morning, his was a Philadelphia and mine was a Denver, we both found two Indians too, I did beat him on the wheats but the dirt in this field was actually muck and terrible on the copper coins so cleaning much was out of the question cause ya rub the dates right off them.

The barber was actually on edge and I pinpointed way off and nicked it with my lesche, well it's part of detecting, it does happen, but it really tics me off when it does.

great hunt Larry , the barber or coins standing on edge can indeed throw a detector's pinpointing abilities off a bit. any metallic object that has a flat thin profile can do this when its standing on edge or just slightly angled , its happened to me many times

Super quarter! I damage more coins with the small Lesche than I do with their big shovels. I also see a lot of people's posts that show the same damage while using one. I only use it when I am entangled in a bunch of roots or if the target is wedged between rocks. Boy it's nice to see Barber in the dirt :loveit:

It seems like everyone is finding some great stuff. Congrats on a really, really nice hunt. It kills me that the New England states are so small. Every square feet seems to have two detectorists on it. I have to get myself to a state with elbow room.

Especially with a DD coil! When I use my big concentric, that has never happened to me.

I've thought about getting a concentric coil for my V3i, the one that came off my MXT don't work that good on my V3i, I can't push it very far like I can the coils that are made for the V3i.
