Yesterday I went to the same place I found my Franklin Half (recently found out the house was built around 1830). Around the side of the house the grass is way too tall, waiting patiently for them to mow it :-\ ... As I walked through the grass towards a good patch of violets, I swung a little where it was trampled, like where a fawn had been sleeping. My XLT sang it's beautiful music and there about 4 down I found 2 silvers! A '53 D Rosie and '43 Washington in the same hole! :happydance01: :happydance01: :happydance01:

Other finds of the day; 1950 wheatie, 1956 Lesney Matchbox Jumbo Crane, jello mold or jelly tin (?) with indented bunch of grapes with the leaves, and animal cookie cutters!

A couple days ago I thought I found a copper, after driving home in anticipation to clean it....

While I'm at it... more show & tell lol a few days ago at a small old city park found a 1918 wheatie, a silver heart pendant and part of a divers watch

Hey George is that a plumb bob? (I actually found it at the house built in 1830). It's heavy copper, hole all the way through and no threads (says Nelson on it- first thing came to mind was an air compressor nozzle)

You been holding out on us with your posts lol Nice couple of hunts. Congrats on your silver spill  Kinda a good feeling when you see more than one coin. The large disk is made of aluminum and is probably some kind of token, maybe from a box of cereal (prize). If there is nothing on it, I think they used to use them as tags for telephone or electrical boxes. Usually had a number stamped on them or a location. Nice bunch of finds and congrats on that sweet silver. :beerbuddy:

Thats one thing I haven't been blessed with yet.....a multiple silver spill :(
That cooper do-hickey,I think, is part off of a broken garden hose nozzle :thinkingabout:
Boy o' boy that 1830's house sure has been good to you!!
I take it it hasn't sold yet...which is good for you
Congrats on the finds & HH

Aren't the plugs from electric boxes the size of nickels? Like a slug? Oh, a tag... Anyway I'm sure it prob is lol There's nothing on it - unless I scrubbed it away with my steel wire brush :poke: :poke: :poke:

It's as big as a dollar:

Thank you my friend :)
Actually I was surprised to find myself feeling territorial yesterday- there was a group of people looking at the house :eyebrow: It was really the timing, I only had a little while to hunt... I small-talked with them a bit (found out when it was built) and after they left I found the silver lol

yes... it must be... it's just so small I was skeptical, but I guess that's how they got a sharp stream back in the old days before our nifty 8 in 1 garden sprayers lol

Very nice silver Tana!!! (as an aside... what happened to your hand, John?)

I have found quite a few of those steel circular things. They sound good. :)
