Found this little Hair clip today, very delicate any ideas on its age?

I found some site selling these, but a much newer style. Steampunk Scissor Barrette. The new ones have a flat clip and a spring. The old ones like you found literally clip together. I would say it is newer than 1960 by style and the quality of metal.
