Was able to get out with fellow member Rick of Smithtown Saturday and although the weather wasn't all that cooperative, still had a good time. This farm has been a hard one to hunt with very few decent finds, but this day I did find a few nice things.
The flat button has a back mark that reads W Wallis Extra Rich, the other doesn't have anything on it so have no idea of age or maker.
The coin was for me a great find. When I first looked at it I could make out that it was an IH and the first two numbers was 18. I continued to clean it and was able to see a 6, but could not get the fourth number. Was hoping for a 9.
So I took it into work today and put it under a microscope and found the last number to be a 4. A 1864 IH my second oldest IH so far. Hope the pics come out ok. Thanks for looking, Safe & HH

Not sure but after a Google search that flat button could be British. Anyways the date is probably somewhere in the same range as the other flat buttons 1800-1830. Nice finding them early Indians. I'll always take anything in the 60's. Now you have to figure out if it is the "L" variety.

During the day at work I had a thought that there was something about the 1864 IH, so when I got home started to look into it. Went on the internet and realized it could be an L, tried to see the L but coin is not in too good of shape, but when I looked for the pointed bust I could see that, so I think that I do have a 1864 L IH. O yea. First coin that i guess would be considered a key coin. :bananadance:

Nice hunting. I believe that yours would be the "L" variety because of the pointed bust. That would be the part near the 1 in the date.
Always love to dig buttons, especially those with a back mark. :congrats:on all your keepers.
