View Full Version : Treasure Map?!
Yesterday, on my way out from the site where I dug a couple of state coopers, I dug this modern-looking pendant. I didn't think much of it at the time because it was covered with dirt, shallow, and small. This morning, I cleaned it up and found that one end had a slot. I used a screwdriver on it and found that there's a roll of paper inside. What could it be??
I think I'll wait till tonight to open it up; see if I can get a hold of Geraldo. Wish me luck!!

Lol. Trying to be m night shyamalan? I have never seen any pendant like that. Maybe it's one of those novelty necklaces from a gift shop. Maybe it's something more.

It's an ad for liquor...that is like the keg the st. bernard wears. My guess and I'm sticking with it...until someone posts something better.:lol:

It's a phone number for an attorney to call after you're picked up for drunkenness.

Here's my guess as to what it says on the paper:
"Be sure to drink your Ovaltine."

It's the recipe for Coca Cola. You are gonna be rich :cheering: Oh..... and Coca Cola is suing you :shocked01:
Too many funny responses; I might just have to wait til tomorrow night to open the vault.

Ray you big tease:lol::rofl:
Well, the unveiling was pretty lame. Turns out the paper was some sort of ID for a guy that might be named Steve Fair. The writing is too washed out to decipher properly.
Maybe next time.

Awesome Ralphie Parker reference Tony!

I was wondering the same thing...did this guy get lost all the time, and his wife had a reward if found?
Maybe it was for when he was drunk and got lost??:lol:

A bit anti-climatic on the reveal, but I give you props for being able to wait so long to look at it. I couldn't have waited more than a few minutes. Great find & nice job keeping us in suspense.

I don't know why but when I saw the pic the first few times I couldn't tell there was ink still. :bangahead02: Yes it looks like James Fair. The next line I can't read the street name but I can make out the "st. EXT." Could it be _ _ lis street? or _ _ lts?
I'm wondering kind of like what Drew said, it was an old dog tag, just fancy. Not sure if the dog's name was James, or the owner's name. And the reward would be for returning the lost dog.
