Ground not really thawed but could not wait any longer. Actually did find one coin where the ground was thawed the rest required the chisel method. Nothing too earth shattering but in an hour found 1 Rosie, 1 Wheat and .36 cents in clad. Tomorrow get to hunt a Church dirt basement that is 150+ years old. Will get some pictures posted if that works out. Thanks Wisconsin Digger

It's been a cold and rough winter for your area. Most of us understand completely on trying to sneak out early and hunt  We did it last month and there was still 5-8" of snow :girlcry: It will thaw out and you will get to enjoy a hunt without chiseling out any blocks of ice.:frozen: Good luck on that church basement....sounds very promising.

Having dug in frozen ground I know it is a lot more work and it's impressive you walked away with some silver. :perfect10:
