Wow! Did you find these all together? They are in nice condition! I think your profile pic button is the best :thumbsup02:
I love military buttons and have found a few myself over the years, here are my fave two:

WWI General Service army coat button is sitting on counter and the one I'm holding is bigger, I believe from Spanish Am War. It was very encrusted with little rocks, I couldn't see any design- but I soaked it in olive oil for a few months and it slowly loosened up to expose the eagle, what a surprise! It actually looks even better now after another year of soaking

A button is the funniest I have found so far.
Button probably barber. He comes from the village where he was born the famous physician Louis Rydygier. It is dated XIX, who knows, maybe these same well-known doctor wore it.

tanacat (http://www.americandetectorist.com/forum/member.php?167-tanacat) Olive oil is the perfect remedy for such contamination although it takes a lot of time.

Gorgeous button. So it's a military button? Albert's list him as: artificer and infantry buttons. Artificer is described in Wikipedia as:

An artificer is a member of an armed-forces (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armed_force) service who is skilled in making devices as needed in the field. The specific term "artificer" for this function is typical of the armed forces of countries that are or have been in the British Commonwealth (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Commonwealth).
