Nice rings. I can see that one giving you heart trouble  I like the first ring (Amethyst?) I love the old toys, especially with some remaining original paint.

The first ring is silver but the jeweler said she didn't know what the stones were, but probably just glass. Offered me 2.00 for it. I said I would hold on to it being that the house I found it was over 100yrs old. the caboose was found with several tootsie toys in the general area. I also recovered a nice old pick-up truck. Lone ranger badge is to date my favorite find.

Hi there WBL TH. :waving: ... a great bunch of finds! :clapping:
Can I assume WBL TH translates to = White Bear Lake Treasure Hunter?
I spent many years living in the land of 10k lakes searching and hooking up with many walleye and smb. :smitten:
In many ways, md is a lot like fishing.
By the way, I'm guessing you are about 24 inches deep of ice by now???? Maybe more on the big lakes further north?
Keep us posted,
Joe

jkress,
You are correct on the name.
I've been living in the bear around 12 years now. Born and raised in MPLS. WBL has around 2 feet of ice and many fish houses. I prefer north and west for my fishing, mostly Ottertail County but the Red Lake/Blackduck area being my favorite. 50-100 walleye days are very possible C/R except for a few in the frying pan. I'll swing the detector just about anywhere though.
Where are you from in MN?

Greg... I really miss those 50-100 walleye days. :smitten: Especially the Red Wing area during winter. My boat still hasn't seen colder days.
Red Lake/Blackduck is gorgeous. Although I spent lots of hours on Mille Lacs, my favorite while living in the twin cities (Eden Prairie) was the Boundary Waters. Basswood Lake specifically...

I made many, many trips there. Even several when relocated back here in Iowa. We're planning a trip there this coming year!!!! :groovy:
Best of luck to you in 2014 Greg!

I spent some time on Gunflint lake and in Voyagers National Park (Kabetogema, Namnakan). They are having some trouble with Mille lacs right now. Serious population problems due to mismanagement. I used to fish out of the west side in the spring and the south end (Sloppy Joes) late summer. Great Pic!
