These pics represent my last frozen outings of 2013, on Dec 30th and 31st!! Even though the temps were in the 20's I ended up with two successful outings. Why was I out the last two days of the year detecting in crazy conditionshttp://tnet.forumfoundry.com/forums/images/smilies/huh.gif? My detecting club has an annual scavenger hunt with 4 different levels, each one harder than the previous. I just needed one more item for Level 4 and I was hoping I'd find it!! (either a pre 1872 US Silver, a Shield Nickel, or a US 2 cent piece.) I've never found a shield nickel, and since I started detecting in 2008 I've found one two center a year except for this year. Also, I usually only get one seated silver a year, so I didn't make it but had fun trying.
your a "die-hard" Matt  congrats on the silver . :thumbsup01:

Must have been some tough digging Matt. Seems like you didn't let a little thing called Winter stop you from having fun  That patent is cool, but does your ring have the designs like the patent says it should?

Pretty darn good outings despite not finding your level 4 finds. Nice end to the year. Wisconsin Digger

I actually checked and all of the Chinese characters in the patent diagram match up with what is on the actual ring in the same order and everything!

Very nice love those finds. I also can't wait for the ground to thaw, and to get swinging again.
