I have been on vacation for the past week. Unfortunately the ground has been frozen hard as concrete the entire time. :hairpulling:
I tried going detecting on Thursday but it was not happening, the ground was impenetrable.
But today we had a respite from the cold, it was sunny and 51 degrees. The ground was still a little frozen but it was digable. I went back to "Silver Park" and hunted for about 4 hours. I guess I have hunted this park pretty hard, my last two hunts there have been rather unremarkable. No complaints though, it was nice just to get out!
Here are my finds for today. Nothing too spectacular, but I had fun anyway.

These 4 coins were in a spill together right next to a tree. The nickel and quarter were stuck together face-to-face. Oddly enough, the nickel is dated 1946, all of the other coins are modern.

Here are today's keepers. The Merc was the first signal I dug today. This makes 49 silver coins from this park, but I'm afraid they are drying up.

Old copper (?) bracelet that still has a little bit of silver plating on it.

That's it for 2013. The temperatures are supposed to plummet here tomorrow.
Thanks for looking and happy hunting! :beerbuddy:
