I hit a yard this morning that had produced 4 silver quarters and a merc earlier in the year. The first hunt was during a dry spell , and since the ground is now perfect for good signal, i went back for round 2.
I dug a total of 8 wheats during the 2 1/2 hour hunt, along with a 6 inch deep 1948 washington. In the hole with the quarter was 2 older jefferson nickels, one being a 46 and the other an early 50's . One of the nickels was close to the quarter, causing the rust stain on the front.
Just before leaving , i hit a dime signal near a big pecan tree and out pops a nice little silver ring. Sized at 5 1/2 .
Not a lot of finds, but made my day with the 2 silvers. And it also gives you snowed under frozen out diggers something to look at.
