Pulled a pair of coppers this afternoon. The first looks like a mailed bust 1787 or 1788 CT copper. The second, who knows , I couldn't id it, but it looks like a lizard tail or something on reverse.
The first was dug at 10 inches, and came in pretty good on the e-trac on the CO number, but the FE number was very bouncy. This is an area I've pounded with two other machines, but we did have a heavy rain all day yesterday. It was also close to iron, and I wasn't sure if it was an iron or not, and to be honest, I may not have dug it if I wasn't learning the machine, but it was really fighting to get thru. The threshold did null over the plug after I closed it -- I'm guessing the iron was 2-4 inches away. This was a nice win for the e-trac.
The other was about 5 inches in an area I haven't been able to hit before.
