I went back to a woods I've been hunting in Battle Creek (about 20 miles away) and managed to find me some nice keepers. One of the Indians is in really in good shape and the ring is about the last thing that I found, in fact I was kind of meandering my way out of the woods and my truck was even in sight when I found it.

Wow! What a bunch of really cool finds. I'm 1 month brand new to MD'ing. And this is my first time using a forum, so bare with me. What is that object with the blue and animal face on it, pictured near your ring? I found a similar object, but mine has orange where your blue is, and the face is of a bear. I also found a 1819 Large Cent Matron Head and a 1903 dime in the same field.

They're Cub Scout uniform scarf 'slides' ---used to hold scarf around necks. I've done a few group hunts at boy scout camps and it's fun to find them, very abundant there of course

And the different animals represent your "rank" in Cub Scouts.
1. Tiger
2. Bobcat
3. Wolf
4. Bear

Hate to be the only knucklehead commenting on the pulltab but that looks like a really old one. With the millions of pulltabs we have dug you would think one person would of put a collection together. Nice finds especially the ring. Wisconsin Digger

The button has an iron back to it, I tried finding this button on the net but couldn't, now that I know what it is maybe I can find more about it, thanks a lot for the info :thumbsup01:

Some more info on it. I think it is listed in Albert's Button Book under the heading of "Other Veteran Organizations" It is button VN20A, and it states - The SV monogram with 13 stars encircling; staff Fox patent back. It did not tell me if the back was brass or iron like yours is. Here is a picture of the fox patent back design.
Yours may not be this back design.

Congrats on the variety of finds, when you have a hunt like that it keeps things interesting, you never know what might be in the hole. That ring looks great as well as the 1907 IH. Safe & HH
