This weeks finds, a heart stopper.

[Fire Fighter 43]

I had two short hunts at the church site I've hunted a couple times in the last few weeks. Again I recovered more Indians this makes 14 total from this site. I manage to get an old one 1876 and the other two were 03 & 07. The best find of the two hunts was heart stopper a 1916 Merc. I could see it was a 16 and when I flipped it over I could barley see a mint mark. I practically sprinted to my car to get some water and my glass. It turned out to be an S mint mark but it was still an exciting find. The other two Mercs are 18 and 38. I also picked up 17 wheats and a few trinkets.

Darn that elusive 16D merc. It's situations like this that make the hobby so great. :congrats: on getting some nice old coins.

Oh well, too bad about the 1916 Merc but maybe you'll find a 1916-D someday that doesn't have the damage that one has.
