Hit it again for a little bit today. Pretty chilly out in the open as windy as it was. :frozen:
I did a better job the other day than I'd hoped. Today didn't yield much, but I'll still take it. A broken fine suspender clip, an Ox shoe, and a fairly toasted but still readable 1832 Half Cent!
:happy: That coin predates the settling of this area, so I'm absolutely tickled!
The OX shoe is really cool too, because I've never even seen reference to anyone using Oxen around here. I know back east it was/is common, but not in these parts.

Even though we are in an older section here, half cents are not very common. You would think they would be more common than large cents, but not so. Congrats on a very old coin :beerbuddy:

Congrats on the 1832 half cent! That's a terrific find! They don't seem to turn up very often for detectorists. It's fortunate that all the details are still clear on it including the date.
