Silver Dimes And Wheat Cents

It's a good thing that it doesn't get dark until after eight at this time of year since it allows me some late-in-the-day detecting time. This time I made my way to a Connecticut park, and though it was busy with baseball and soccer players I was able to work one of the still available fields. I enjoyed my time out, plus a little over four hours later I had six silver coins in my pouch along with several wheat cents and a good number of clad coins.

The wheat cents at this park do take a beating unlike the ones I found yesterday at the park down my way. Perhaps a few will clean up okay.

It's amazing how many of them Roosies are still in the ground :shocked04: If anyone ever doubted what the effects of masking are, just ask yourself how those coins can survive undetected all these years? Just recently has the ability to find coins with junk been available. Now some of them masked silvers can come to light! Congrats on a good silver day.

 You never cease to amaze me with your finds. You are definately one with the force Obie Wan. rofl Well done my friend.

I love your photos of the coin still in the dirt Angel. Makes me want to get out there and dig myself.

You should put your silver counter back up. Otherwise you will just have to keep answering everyone's questions as to your current total. :)

I figured it out! Angel has a time machine and that's how he gets all that silver! I'm hoping you will post a 2010 totals picture when the time comes? Although it probably wont fit all in one photo!

Congrats! :thumbsup01:
