Tony Two-Cent

It was a beautiful weekend here in central Illinois and I was able to get in several hours of metal detecting on both days. I started out yesterday morning at a large grassy field next to an old grade school that I have hunted twice before with good results. I guess I've hunted it harder than I thought because yesterday I only found 1 Indian Head, a couple of wheat cents and a sterling silver ring.
So I decided to drive over to Two-Cent Park since it was nearby. I had more or less written it off as hunted out because my last several hunts there were not very productive. However, I thought maybe I could get a couple more keepers out of it now that the ground is not so dry. I decided to crank the manual sensitivity on my E-Trac all the way up to 29 and go really slow. In about 2 hours I got 3 Barber Dimes and an Indian Head Cent! All of these coins were about 10 deep in an area of the park I had pounded many times.
I headed home early because I had to get cleaned up and drive 1-1/2 hours to a concert in Effingham, IL that night.
Today I decided to head back to Two-Cent Park to see if I could coax any more keepers out of the ground. Again I hunted with my sensitivity at 29. Today I got 2 more Indian Heads.
After a while I drove over to the park where I found 10 silver coins a few weekends ago. At this park I found 1 more Indian Head and a Mercury Dime. I also found an eagle button that was about 8 inches deep.
Here are my total finds for the weekend:

Here are the keepers that came out of Two-Cent Park. This place continues to amaze me. This makes 40 total Indian Heads that I have found in this park, and 13 Barber Dimes.

To my recollection, this is the first time I have found two 1909 Wheat Cents in one hunt. (Although they aren't much to look at.) Oddly enough, both are 1909-VDB.

Eagle button that I found at the park today. The back of it must have been iron. Anybody know anything about it?
