Good morning all!
AHRPS' weekend outing proved to be fairly successful for both Aundrea (my wife) and myself as well as many others. I'm not quite sure what all 19 or 20 people found but I know there was some very nice things to come out of our weekend getaway, most notably James' Montana hotel key tag which from what I saw would be the nicest find among all the neat digs over the weekend. I know there were a few tokens outside of ours, a Barber quarter, a 1916 S Merc. and many other great finds.
To tally what Aundrea and I found, not including the fun junk (buttons, square nails (yes Cindy and I are weird like that) and various other goodies), this is what we came up with:
Aundrea, who used her Classic ID, dug:
•1 - At Dome's Place 5¢ token
•1 - Hart's Place 5¢ token
•1899 Indian Head
•1901 Indian Head
•Ring (non precious metal)
•Jewelry item w/ a tiger eye stone
Very good stuff if I may say so myself. I'll get those scanned as soon as they're cleaned up
Chris (me), who used the Classic IDX Pro
•2- 1919 wheat back cents
•1 - 1918 wheat back cent
•1 - Nyssa Cooper & Fields 10¢ token
•1 - Nyssa Pool Hall 12½¢ token
•1 - The Westfall Proprietor 5¢ token
•Jewelry item that appears to be a part of a women's hair pin with 3 tiny shiny red fake or real gems possibly gold plated.
•What appears to be a liquor bottle in unbroken patina'd condition. Very nice swirls and waves in the glass. This one absolutely amazed me and came so unexpectedly I was litterally shaking. I got a junk signal but in an area I had gotten a couple of wheats dug. As I was digging down there was a few broken bottle pieces that looked to be oldish. Then suddenly out of the side of the hole as I was prying the dirt up came a large chunk at which point I felt a scratchy, scraping feeling. Totally out of the blued came this sweet bottle. Very happy to say the least as this is the oldest bottle I've dug in whole condition.
Below are the photos of the items that I took pictures of when I had my phone/camera on me. Again, the items will be scanned and posted when they're cleaned up as time allows.

What a great weekend detecting, albeit extremely hot and often uncomfortable. Initially I was worried I was headed to another skunk but slowly during the last couple days the long hours pounding the dirt paid off.
Thank you
Chris
