Following up on Dan's and my hunt Saturday I looked over the maps again and saw some hints as to where to swing the coil. Short hunt after work produced my second trime on the year. This one is better than the first one happydance02
It's a 1852.
Also found the knife blade and a... ummm I dunno....round thing.

I just put that there to fool people. ;) I like it...it's different. It would not be my primary machine, but I'm liking it in iron. I just got the small coil, so I will have to try it out on a pounded area to see how it does. In my neck of the woods it does not ground balance like I would like it to. Put auto ground balance on it and have the iron volume go almost to zero and it would be sweet

What a wonderful find, Drew! |:cheering:
It's pretty awesome that you've found two of them this year! Your research has definitely paid off. I can't tell you how thrilled I would be to find such an incredible little silver coin.

I actually laughed out loud rofl....and I'd go with it but good things come in threes....the year is only half over.... at this rate I should have four by Dec. lol
Thanks everyone.
Dan, I tried again to take a better pic but these fish scales are small.
Anyone have tips on taking close ups with a Droid Razr phone?
Hey Drew the first one up top ain't bad but is just a bit to lighted and tough to make out the details , anyway to have the light source cast across the coin to show definition better??
