Well, the hunts have been few and far between, but my uncle and I made it out last week and we both found silver and some wheats. We hit some farm field spots with nothing to show for it. Then we went over an empty lot in a small town that my uncle had gotten permission to hunt. According to old aerials and Sanborn maps this lot has always been vacant, never built on. We each found a Rosie and some wheats. My uncle went around an old ground out tree stump and got himself a spill of a clad quarter, an iron ring and this 1855 large cent in the same hole. It was a good day out!
The Ford name plate and bottle stopper are from another recent hunt.
