Last week I managed to find a 1917 Buffalo at an old spot we have been cleaning for two years, that was the only coin I found in 3hrs, went back the next day and found only one coin again, an 1884 v nickel. Most of the coins are masked by nails and trash.Sunday I was supposed to meet up with SilverStar but our schedules didnt work out so I went to a local park solo to pop some quick finds.Managed to get a 1943 Mercury dime and a 1953 Wheat, around $3.50 in clad including two dollar coins.Ground has been very dry but its raining like cats and dogs as I type, someone here must have done the rain dance :barf:....thanks For looking.HH.

p.s. Nails, trash and old broken glass are all from the spot i found both nickels...

Way to get those hard-to-find remaining coins from heavily hunted parks, Rob!

I especially like the 1884 V Nickel. Those V Nickels from the 1880s are not a common find, and you were only one year away from the rare 1885.

Good job!

:congrats:

Nice digs... that blob top bottle piece has got some age to it for sure. And I bet that V nickel looks great cleaned up. Congrats!

Tim, you would not believe what mikey is pulling out of that place, two seated dimes, tons of indians including a nice 1877 plus a gold ring.He does not have time to post these days so I hope he doesnt mind me mentioning his finds.Tony I think thats my third v from that spot although id have to check, thanks.

:congrats: on the early V and buff also the merc. Sounds like a great park that will continue to produce and I am sure that the rain will help with the finds
