Here's today's exciting finds. I went searching for a cellar hole in a town I used to live in that I heard about but didn't know exactly where except for a general vicinity sort of thing. I bopped around for almost two hours just walking and swinging in the beautiful woods. Nothing of note except an ox shoe and a pouch full of those shotgun heads.
Then I left and decided to try a pocket park nearby. I went straight for the edges and the first signal I get is a silver Rosie (1947-s). Yes, the gods heard my prayer! lol Then I made my way around the edges, finding the usual pop tabs, Zincoln pennies and even a modern coin pocket spill.
Then I hit a nice signal which said nickel all the way around, but to my great surprise I see the edge of a ring in the clump! :drool:interesting:o I'm praying to let it not be a junk ring and sure enough it cleaned up instantly and I saw 14K inside the band. The stone looks real too. I think it's a pink tourmaline. Of course my wife likes it and she modeled it all cleaned up! I'm going to stop by the jeweler tomorrow. Thanks and happy hunting! :groovy:
PS Coin Star finally paid off too! A 1950 Rosie sitting in the return tray. I always check it hoping for some silver. YAY!!
