Hello all !!
I had to travel down to Philly for a Monday meeting and drove down a day early (Sunday) - I arrived at 10 am and meet up with 2 local like minded dirt diggers :-)
We hit a park that dates back to the turn of the century... This park was very very very active and crazy loaded with targets... the dirt was dry and very hard packed in some spots..
Within 5 minutes of us starting I had a dime signal at 2 inches...
.925 Celtic Sterling Cross

It wasn't long digging all of the copper penny and better signals that I knew I needed targets beyond 4 inches... So I focused on those targets...
Over the next hour I was digging a bunch of clad and isolating targets was rough... I'm not sure this park has been hunted in a while... and it is huge...
Next keeper up was a nice 1929 Mercury Silver Dime...
[attachimg=2]
I was getting the occasional wheatie... I had a pouch fill of larger flat screw caps as they looked pretty close to good deeper pennies...
I got up 6 Wheat Backed Pennies and 3 of them were from the teens, 1 was a '29, one '41, and a 57D...
Next keeper was a bright chirp at 5 range in between crap and I passed by went back and I'm glad I did...
1909 Barber Dime
[attachimg=3]
I eneded up with 14 quarters, 27 pennies, 15 dimes, 6 wheaties, 2 silver dime, silver cross and the rest...
[attachimg=4]
What do you make of that relic that looks like a sling clip thingy...
HH ALL !!
