after a mind blowing saturday hunt we decided to go back up to the cellar hole and poke around.and hit another one down the trail.the 2nd site was pretty hammered i got a button,a no date draped bust LC and at the GW site a cool lead seal with a name on it,2 zuoave ball buttons.one still has nice silver gilting on it. none of us scored big this day.was good to get back up to the GW site though and try to score another one

more pics.wondering what the big silver thing coulda been.looks like a tombac type metal.

As always, a great variety of colonial buttons and relics! I have no idea what the large tombac item might be, but it looks more decorative than functional.
Of course, to this midwesterner the draped bust LC would be the find of a lifetime. Oh how I would love to live in an area where such finds are common.

Nice bunch of finds! A Draped Bust in any shape is always nice. That that silver thing..... maybe a fancy colonial bottle cap opener ...... I really have no idea but would agree with Tony. Likely ornamental.
