Wheat Dues Pay Off

Finally some Spring weather arrived today... beautiful sun and temps up into the low 50's. I was tickled pink to be able to get out and enjoy it after work. I debated where to go but then headed back the same same spot I hunted yesterday. 11 wheats & old nickels during that hunt seem to say silver just had to be there. Sure enough, it was... I landed two war nickels and a nice Merc. I also got another 8 wheats and some sparse clad. It was a great, relaxing hunt.

War nickels seem to be pretty inconsistent as far as how they ring up and how the are affected by the soil. These two were found only about 10 feet apart. The did not sound exactly the same and one was shiny while the other is black. Weird.

Happy hunting!

:congrats:

You're on a great pace for 2013 and should end up with an awesome silver total for the year.

Continued good hunting and try to leave a few goodies in the ground for when I visit.
