so me and chrisinct hunted a park yesterday dating back to the turn of the 20th century that is strangely devoid of any trash ? and after digging a lot of clad i hit on a signal at 5 inches and reading 72-74 on the f4 .
turning over the plug there was a nice 1906 D barber dime , still sitting on my hunches i called chris and began to do the silver dance.
after the congrats 2 feet away up comes a toasted indian head then a wheat then another wheat and i knew i must be in the right place.
minuets later chris is calling me over to look at his 1823 silver skilling (chris dosnt do the silver dance , boring sod !!! ).
at this point i knew we would find more silver here and sure enough i get another signal at 5 inches and reading the same as before , out pops another barber dime juice in the hole baby i scream , ( bloody diggers have a lot to answer for ) this one a 1905 S which i was sure was a lower mintage date.
by this point chris looked like a frozen popsicle so we called it a day.
both of us are sure we have hit on a place where we are gona find a lot more silver and intend to go back and start to grid the place.
here is some pics.
