There's a lot of information posted regarding the ctx3030 but I haven't spotted anything regarding the wireless nature of the unit. Any issues with it (i.e. ever get interference from something broadcasting in the area)? Does it deplete batteries quickly?
Any potential weakness? Are you using the headset that comes with the unit?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

None of that... You recharge it when you charge your main battery... I use Killer B's for a headset

I love NOT being tethered to the main unit...

Thank you for the reply. Not being tethered to the unit does sound great.

The wireless set-up is the best thing since sliced bread. I had the V3i and it was great but the ability to use your head phone of choice is priceless in my book. I use the SunRay Pro Golds and kept the stock phones as my back-ups. What is nice about wireless is you can set your detector anywhere when it is time to dig. It is also easier to get through the wooded areas, no cable to get tangled up in the thick stuff. As far as problems, I've had no interference issues, delays or battery issues. After each hunt I recharge the detector battery along with the wireless module.
