2013 Starts off with a pair of silver dimes

Ron and I made our way to a park in Wisconsin. My last hunt of 2012 was December 17th at this park.

Today we found semi-soft ground there, so we had to pick and choose our targets. With just a little extra effort, plugs
could be cut to reveal thawed ground just below the surface. :happydance01:

Ron pocketed a SLQ while these five were my rewards for this January 19th hunt.

Looks like :frozen: will be arriving tomorrow. This will be it for us until spring.

Nothing like starting off the new year with a pair of silvers. :congrats: on the silver and wheats. How cold was it in Wisconsin?

It sounds like your conditions were just like mine down here, Joe. Some places were totally soft, some were totally frozen, but most places had about 1 of frozen crust. Once you got through that it was easy digging.

I'm glad you were able to get out for your first hunt of 2013! Congrats on the wheats and silvers!
