Welp, since the ground is frozen, we decided it's time to cash in on our battery money. First year detecting, and ended up with $156.01 in dirty money. Need to see about investing in a tumbler. Here's my pile, seperated out in pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and non-cashable pennies. How did everyone do this past year?? Good hunting all, Eric

I have to say that this year I did not keep track of the clad. Usually I do but for some reason not this year. Get yourself a tumbler, banks really like clean coins.

$263 dolllars this summer for me
$427.94 in clad give or take a few cents that were corroded away. And some older Canadian pennies that go in a seperate dish. I'm glad the credit union has a change machine to run it through. But i still roll the quarters because i'm not so sure the machine doesn't mess up sometimes. :shocked04:
Alot more quarters this year over last year ($203) because of the bigfoot sweeping up the high schools.
Good luck to everyone in 2013! May you never suffer the S.D.H.O.S. Unless it's because there's gold in your pouch.

Hey, what kind of tumbler did you end up getting?
My parents got it for me for Xmas, it's a Thumbler Model T. It seems to be well-built and does an excellent job. I am really happy with it.

Finally got around to counting:
$382.80 not counting pennies
I have about 5.5 lbs of both copper and zinc but I stopped digging zincs in August. They're heading for the nearest Coinstar.
24 Wheats and only 10 silver coins. Most of the Ag comes in the form of jewelry.
I did find 6 commemorative presidential $1 coins which always surprises me.

thumbsup01 Some very nice clad totals. thumbsup01 Well, I broke down and (as leslie calls it) bought me a man toy. I got one of them double barrel tumblers from Harbor frieght. Now I have to figure out a good mixture to make them coins shine. HH all.
