Opinions? Date on this SLQ

I found this SLQ in 1987 and I've never been quite sure what the date is. I'm not even really sure if it's a pedestal date (1917-1924) or a recessed date (1925-1930). The last digit could be an 8, 9, 0 or something else?

What do you think?

I was also thinking 1929, Tim, I just wanted to see if there was any kind of consensus.

Maybe it's just too worn to tell for certain. :dontknow:

I'm thinking 1894 or 96? oke: Just kidding Tony. When I compare it to the second digit which we know is a 9, it looks the same to me. HH, Dave.

I would say it is an 8 not a 9,look at the shape of the hole 9 is bigger than the 8 thats just my opinion.

I think it's 1928. The top half of the last digit is not as wide as that in the second digit (which we know is a 9).
