I'm really bad about cleaning up ALL of my finds. If it's not a coin or a relic that immediatly hits me, it goes into a gallon size ziplock in my truck, and I get to it whenever...I have bags of them!

So being that it was a day off, there's a foot of snow on the ground, my wife was not around and I could dirty the kitchen, I decided to go through a bag or 2 from the early spring....It's like re-discovery

While I was going through cleaning up the clad coins preparing them to roll and cash in, I was double checking dates...and sure enough there was a 1943 40% silver nickle hiding amongst the clad :happydance01:...bringing my silver total for the year to 101!

Also re-discovered...a victorian broach..wish I found the stone that was in it >:#, what I believe to be a part of the lace up part of a victorian boot, Some great buttons, and a buckle I believe to be from the late 1600's/ early 1700s.

Any ideas on the button (I KNOW MY PIC IS HORRIBLE!!!!)

There are still MANY bags to go through from the year

Now totaling 101 silvers for 2012, great job. See what procrastination does to ya..... lol. Now that you have mastered the Etrac what will 2013 bring? It's time you and I start doing some research (for once).

Congrats on a good year Rob, and also on your second recovery. I had a simular experience with my junk pile. I was borring the wife with a pile of non-goodies, and she noticed this washer looking thing had some kind of writting on it :shocked03: We'll it turned out to be my oldest find, a 1760-1796 Chineese coin. So I always double and tripple check my junk pile before tossing it in the trash, and it never hurts to have an extra set of eyes as well. Good hunting in 2013, thumbsup01 Eric
