It's really depressing with all this snow on the ground. See pic taken today. BUT, I do have an area to detect. The brown house in the photo has a dirt basement and was built in 1920. I've found a couple buffalo nickels and wheat pennies previously. There were 6 kids that grew up in the house. When I was redoing the inside, I found ballroom tickets from 1939, newspapers from the 40's and kids jewelry hidden in the walls. The only drawback is the spiders and the old dirt smell that gets on your clothes.

Very smart, saving that site for a time like now. What's a little dirt smell for the chance for the silver.

Humph...never thought to detect dirt cellars. I wonder how many people still have them.

You have good restraint. If it was me I would have done it right away. rofl
Sounds like it could really produce some great items. I have never detected such a place! Can't wait to see what you get.
