I just couldn't believe how the good finds ended so abruptly at this park, so I decided to give it one more try today. I know that all good things must come to an end, but I keep thinking about all of the great coins that I have found at this park and I can't help thinking that there must be a few more.
No bucket list coins today, but I did manage to find a few keepers. No doubt about it, the finds are becoming much less frequent at this park, but I just slowed down and concentrated. I also think that hunting with my sensitivity set at manual 27 has helped me find a few coins that I had missed previously when hunting in Auto +3.
Today I ended up with 2 Indian Heads, 3 Wheat Cents, 1 Buffalo Nickel, 2 Barber Dimes and some modern clad.
That makes a total of 34 Indian Heads I have found at this park, and 10 Barber Dimes, all since September 9 which is the first time I hunted there.
Here are today's finds:
62262
And here are the keepers:

This 1881 Indian Head Cent was in decent shape:
62264
The 1893 Indian Head didn't look too bad either:

The Buffalo Nickel is dated 1920:

Neither Barber Dime has a mint mark:

I can't imagine that I will ever have this good of year ever again, especially since I've hunted all of the parks in my general vacinity so heavily. Next year will require some thorough research and branching out to private residences and farm fields. Hopefully I will find some more coins on my bucket list.
Thanks for looking and happy hunting!
some quality coins there Tony , love the barbers but the color of them indians you find out there is really pretty to these eyes :loveit:

That's a great haul for a supposedly hunted out park! But they say no place is ever completely hunted out.

Hey Tony I'm glad you found some more keepers at the old park. I did some research and found a cornfield near you (within 10 miles) that had a school and 2 houses back in the 1870s. You'll have to find the owner though! :callme:

Congratulations Tony on another productive hunt. :peace:
From the looks of this impressive pile of coins... doesn't look like anything ended abruptly. \:hammer:
The results show there are many targets left to find. Hiding amongst them may be another bucket list coin. :->
